Elevate East’s Business Incubator Recognized in the Tulsa World

February 14, 2024

The Tulsa World recently highlighted the community’s positive response to the new incubator, launched by GKFF in partnership with the City of Tulsa.

Elevate East is a community and public-private initiative that provides families with resources and opportunities while preserving and enhancing east Tulsa’s cultural assets and commercial corridors. The new Global District business incubator will help launch and scale economic ventures, providing multilingual technical assistance and support to east Tulsa’s diverse entrepreneurs while rehabilitating the culturally significant Plaza Santa Cecilia, which will house the incubator.

Local business leaders share their excitement for the first business incubator aimed at immigrant communities in Oklahoma, noting that many multilingual entrepreneurs often require assistance navigating the resources necessary for operating successful businesses.

“This incubator not only cultivates thriving local businesses but also offers invaluable resources to immigrant entrepreneurs, enhancing economic opportunities for all. We are excited to see the renovation of Plaza Santa Cecilia, a culturally significant building for Tulsa’s Hispanic community, and grateful for the public-private partnership supporting this catalytic investment.”
