Building an equitable economy
Without sufficient funding and resources, many minority-led businesses never have what they need to get off the ground.
Build in Tulsa is dedicated to providing the necessary support to leaders and entrepreneurs who are often discounted and overlooked. Founded in 2020, Build in Tulsa addresses the institutional barriers that underrepresented founders face by offering business accelerators, mentorships and one-on-one business coaching, free coworking, cost of living assistance and more.
A three-fold plan of support
Build in Tulsa helps founders start, scale and sustain their businesses by:
- Developing home-grown talent and attracting high-growth Black entrepreneurs to Tulsa
- Creating financial incentives, funding support and hiring assistance to grow businesses
- Establishing a business headquarters dedicated to Black entrepreneurs
With Black entrepreneurs and other underrepresented minorities receiving 2-3% of venture capital funding, Build in Tulsa is helping close economic gaps so founders can thrive. The initiative also aims to serve every level of entrepreneur and every stage of company.
